Temporary Horse Registrations Will No Longer be Available in 2025

If you will be competing at Silver, Gold or Platinum Hunter/Jumper competitions in 2025, you will need to complete a Horse Recording directly through the Equestrian Canada website. As of January 1, 2025 Temporary Horse Recordings (or Registrations, as they are known in the Rules) will no longer be available.

To check if you need a horse recording to compete, visit equestrian.ca/compete/equine-athletes/horse-recordings-and-passports.

This change ensures all horse owners will only need to pay once for registration, and that their payment goes toward an official EC Horse Recording, which allows for the tabulation of results, tracking performance record of the horse and compilation of breeder identification.

Important Reminders

Please ensure all horses, owners and riders have the appropriate licenses and activations prior to entering any EC sanctioned events. Entries not meeting the sport licence or horse recording requirements are in breach of EC Rules, will not be eligible for points and may incur fines.
